Now that is what I call fast! :? And Great service!!!
Called Bob Ailes and told him I wasn't comfortable with Hammer housing with "notch" . And how My FNP-40 broke and the repair part was missing the "notch"
He issud a pick up tag and out it went on the 3-17-08! And it arrived back today 3-27-08! :D

Pistol has new hammer housing installed! I feel more confident about this gun will not have the dreaded "crack"

This gun was extremely accurate when I shot it last. See thread Accuracy of the FNP-9. Can't wait to let them fly downrange!

Notice any difference in DA trigger? Mine's lighter than it was before.
It feels the about same to me.

Bob Ailes told me a few things that may hold some interest.

He said the problem on the hammer housings was the notch. He was slightly vague on this.
And they have the parts in to fix the problem ones.

There is a 5 year warranty on their guns.

He also said they have sold more than 660,000 FNP's (before FNP-45)

He told me that FNH has repaired 300 +/- handguns with this problem.

We should post this little tidbit on all the other forums where he's spread the propaganda.

Well, please do - I tried to jump into the subject on another forum - and a member from another forum came in and started throwing insults at me and this forum. The thread ended up being locked after I reported it to the admin.

Anyway - I'm tired of dealing with Ironman...

*SIGH*

FNH received my FNP 45 at the Browning repair depot on the 27th. of February, and i have not heard a thing since.

My dealer contacted Davidson's (his distributor), completely on his own, without my knowledge, and asked them about FN's long service times. They said I should have returned the pistol to them and they would have sent me a brand new one in a week's time.

*grumble*

:-?

Wow. That is a really small percentage, in fact it is .045%!

And mine ended up being one of them....I should have bought a lottery!

Getting some confusing numbers here.

30 thousand.

40 thousand.

660 thousand.

?

I'm betting not more than 40K.

That's what I thought! ? :-? I got several different #'s from him!
The last ones were hard but vague. But he did put it in an email.
Even with these numbers the cracking problem is a small percentage.
