Hi everyone, nube here, I have really appreciated the benefit of your experiences and posts.
I know it sounds crazy, but I don't want to SBR my PS90...I just want to put a can on it and I want the barrel to continue to float. Do any of you know of a quality barrel manufacturer that can keep me at 26" overall and provide a threaded end for suppressor? Thanks again for all the great content.

I'm a newb here as well and waiting to get my PS90 within the next week here! Forgive me if I didn't read your post right but what you're asking for doesn't exist. I've been doing a good amount of research here in the forums and the barrel needs a shroud in order to function properly. Well in the case of a full length barrel it's a shroud, in an SBR case it's more like a retention collar. If you install a barrel without a shroud it will be free to not only float but to slide all the way to the bolt face when the bolt is locked back, which will also cause issues with the NFA because of the overall length of the firearm. Any which way you slice it, there will need to be a device that needs to be threaded on from the muzzle end of the barrel and extending down to the receiver. Don't worry though the barrel will still float in the receiver as it should.

There was a shroud from a company called Huntertown arms, but I don't even know if they make it anymore. When it was introduced it caused a major discussion on the overall length of the firearm violating NFA laws if not permanently installed using a pin. It did allow the use of a customer's choice of muzzle devices threaded for 1/2x28 threads.

Guys please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Your points are correct: What I want does not exist, and some type of shroud will be needed. The Huntertown arms shroud has 1/2x28 threads but does not allow the barrel to free float, hence my meaning for no shrouds please.

What I want is two threaded portions, one at the retention area (like SBR or P90), and then 6" more of barrel with 1/2x28 threads for suppressor. I want a longer SBR barrel.

Yeah, I understand this but the OP specifically said he didn't want a shroud on his first post.

That's why I said he'd need to look for a very special fabrication due to the design of the receiver. In order to make a barrel that didn't use a shroud and have 1/2x28 threads according to the OP's request, you'd theoretically need to modify the receiver by drilling out and open up the channel the barrel goes through to take on a larger diameter barrel that's large enough to accept 1/2x28 threads. On top of that you'd need threads 10 inches from the chamber end and a special fabricated retaining collar/device to secure the barrel in the receiver within tolerances.

This is all my theory of course. I am a newbie after all lol :)
