Shot my 57 for the first time, I didn't make it to the range but was out on Public land. There was a large wooden box in the middle of nowhere and I stuck some sticker "shoot-N-C" targets on it.

I was shooting at less than ideal conditions, with cold and wind, from about 25 yards, maybe more.

I noticed that the 195 ammo was dead on with factory sight settings, but the 197 were hitting below the target. It looked like the 197 was grouping better though.

I know the 197s are a heavier bullet, but didn't think it would be that big a difference at that range.

Ill try this out again at the range with a rest and see what kind of results I get. Plus Ill know the distances at the range, I could have been further than 25 yards, who knows.

I also saw that my PS90 what sighted better for the 195, and the 197s were hitting lower, but not as dramatically lower as with the 57.

Are you guys picking which ammo you like best and sighting in for that, or have similiar experience.

Some people do have a difference in the impact point between the two rounds o the Five Seven and/or the PS90.

On my PS90 - I notice no difference. There was a minor difference between the two with the Five Seven. However, I use the 197 as my main round. I adjusted my rear sight to have the 197 hit the bullseye at 7 yards (the gun was sighted in at a further distance from the factory - 25 yards I think)

Mine was hitting a bit low at 21 feet - that's the avg distance of many of my rooms in my house. I forget how many clicks I had to adjust mine at. I also like to use the dots on the sight, and not the top edge of the sight blades.

But, I sandbagged mine when I adjusted the sights - so I would know that the gun was adjusted accurately with the 197 ammo.
