I have two guesses.

#1
It looks like a HP round if you compare it to the other rounds in the picture.
My guess is its some variant of SS195 for LEO, like a training round simular to the old T194.
My guess is thats it may be heavier than SS195.

#2
But since FNMAN stated that it was LEO restricted, my second guess is that its a FMJ Training round.
Good for LEO training but a FMJ would make it poke through too much kevlar for civilian usage.

I am wondering about all the different variants of the FNP 45. Which will be available first? I'd really like to have the model with a safety instead of a decocker.

OH NO!
Look at page 5!!

When will these catalog people learn!!!!
you mean the ad on (numbered) page 3 (which is page 5 of the pdf), which is indeed not exactly a best practise

or do you mean the actual page 5 of the catalog?

hey, at least it's not a HK-style no-compromise bullet

So, it looks like the SS198 will be available to civilians. What exacty is it? Just a FMJ? How many grain? How fast will it be going? Anyone have info on it?

thanks!
good question. fnhusa hasn't updated their website with any details yet. it still lists the round as restricted to le and military.

he shouldnt have a saw theres no need for a police officer to have one

im not anti police but i believe no one should be above anyone else

i cant have a saw without ridiculous amounts of money and licensing and signing my life away

when police/feds can have whatever they want, but take away our right to meet the equal amount of force it will ultimately lead to a police state/tyranny

if a swat team cant do business with 16'' barrelled ar15s semi auto they need not be working where they do

Bravo zulu, Adosh.

I feel the same way. The last time I checked the bad guy's weren't robbing police stations or car jacking police cars. If the police need them to level the playing field, then what make their lives more important than mine?

The 2nd Amendment was put there to allow every American to protect themselves from all enemies foreign or domestic. If someone can show me the part in the constitution that says the police must provide personal security to protect each American let me know. Until then, IMO we are living in less than a free state.

Thanks for posting the PDF ShipWreck!!!

That's an excellent catalog! LOTS of cool stuff in there. I was looking forward to the FNP 45, but noticed they are also releasing an FNP 357 too! OUTSTANDING! Another thing that was cool was the shotgun barrel selection for the SLPs. Looks like a fella could shoot trap, skeet, sporting clays and hunt with his tactical shotgun. My SLP Mk1 will be getting more use than my Benelli M3 now!

The only thing that spooked me a little was the SCARs are listed as MIL/LEO only. :-? Still an excellent bit of reading material that will have me wanting to spend some $$$.

Thanks again ShipWreck!
