Thanks for the updates. Really appreciate the Green/Red colors to identify what is what.

I think we need to pass a law that says that all anti gun representatives and senators, governors, and all other politicians, local all the way to fed level, be tagged with the term "Anti Constitution and Anti 2nd Amendment Supporter" after their name. If they are so proud to file these useless legislative actions, they should not mind and own up to the fact that they are Anti Constitution and Anti 2nd Amendment Supporters.

No problem ... I thought the colors would help seeing as how stinking many there are coming in.

Funny you should mention the thing about legislators, a bill came in this morning from Illinois (HB2043) that would require any legislator that wants to introduce a firearm related bill to have passed a firearms training course ... thought that was fantastic

Last week's newly introduced legislation and man oh MAN is this list huge!

As an example of how bad it really is this year we have kept track of firearm legislation since 2013 and here are the total firearm bills introduced at the state level:

2013: 2016 - note this was the year after Sandy Hook
2014: 1072
2015: 1767
2016: 1368
2017: 1854
2018: 1451

Now as of today (and since January 1) there have been 1302 firearm related bills introduced in state capitols, that's 25+ bills per day since the first of the year, something we have NEVER seen before.

People are really going to need to get off their butts and march down to their state capitol and start screaming at the top of their lungs!

S0992 would outlaw bump fire stocks

"On March 9, 2018, after the 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, the state of Florida enacted SB 7026, which, among other things, banned bump stocks." (Wiki)

https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2018/07026

I find this dis-heartening considering that bump stocks were outlawed by the Stoneman Douglas High School anti gun bill passed last year. This is another bill "just in case" the original will be considered illegal by current court challenges, which it will be because it basically outlaws your finger, belt loop, and ANY item that can make a semi auto rifle shoot "faster then designed for" - whatever that means. I am still trying to wrap my head around "faster than designed for". If I can fire 300 gazillion shots a second, then obviously that's what it was designed to do regardless of what modifications a semi auto has.

This bill is worded somewhat different (even though you are correct about being redundant) in so much as it specifically explains that anyone owning them must 'turn them in' or destroy them

But again you are 100% correct in your analogy

Another Pop Tart law that will send kids to jail.

With all the issues facing Americans today, just for once, I would like to see NOTING filed on any gun issues for the first year after election, and see if congress can come up with a bill that actually means something. This is it you know, this is how Congress and State Legislatures justify themselves because the members CAN NOT THINK OF A SINGLE REAL ISSUE THAT IS OF IMPORTANCE TO AMERICANS.

I see only positive amendments/bills for the state of Idaho!!!! Go Idaho! It's God's country here. I do have to ask, I've seen a few 'would create extreme risk protection orders'; 'would provide grants to states that enact extreme risk protection order'; 'would prohibit anyone anyone under an extreme protection order from owning a firearm'. Are these "EXTREME PROTECTION ORDERS" like restraining orders or what. I'm a bit confused. Can anyone fill me in?

#19 ·
Sure, extreme risk protection orders allow firearms to be seized from a person that has had a family member (and sometimes other people) report them as 'a danger to themselves or others'

The main problem with them is they take the firearms BEFORE the person goes in front of a judge, in other words ex parte orders. So a person loses their firearms and ammunition, then has to go into court and defend themselves (costing god knows how much) to get their items back.

Here's what I've been sending:

Senator Killion:

Do you believe that criminals, psychos and terrorist will obey the new and redundant gun laws that politicians make? Of course not.
The burden falls ONLY on the "law abiding citizens". Politicians continually tout the saving of lives, "if we can save only one life...we must
stop gun violence."

Webster's definition of violence: " the use of physical force so as to injure, abuse, damage, or destroy."

A 2008 study by the automobile assoc. of America put the costs at $166.7 billion.
Researchers at Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park estimate more than 3,000 annual teen deaths nationwide from texting and 300,000 injuries.

An estimated 2,700 young people die each year as a result of driving under the influence of alcohol and 282,000 are treated in emergency rooms for injuries suffered in motor-vehicle crashes, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Therefore. To save lives, injuries, costs of medical bills, damages etc. I have the solutions:

I demand these laws for Pennsylvania:
1- All vehicles or motorized bikes etc, except emergency vehicles, that are allowed on the streets are to be equipped with breath analyzer
within two years of passing this law.
2. All vehicles or motorized bikes, etc, except emergency vehicles, that are allowed on the streets are to be equipped with a speed a
governor limiting speed to max of 40 mph. Must be completed within two years after passing this law.

The costs will be burden by the owners of the vehicles and must be completed within two years. After two years any vehicles not
meeting the above laws, are BANNED, and will be confiscated.

After all this will benefit the citizens of Pennsylvania and save far more lives, injuries and costs. After all, if we can save one life.

I want the ignorant public to feel the pain. (Not included in the letter).

The schedule for each bill will be different. Also depends on if it is Federal or State. For the federal ones a lot of them never make it out of committee. For the federal ones you can typically go to congress.gov and put in the bill number and it will tell you where in process it is. Just make sure you are looking at the current session (session 116 at the moment) as they will issue the same bill number to a different bill next session. A lot of time it will just say "referred to committee" and never gets updated if it never gets out of committee.
