After reading your post again, you were probably looking for a recommendation of which can and not whether or not you should. removed for being long winded.

This is along the lines of my un professional thinking. If you go with a saker 762, you could put the smaller end cap on and that might be your best solution. Plus you could get the direct thread module if you don't want the qd.

I have 3 SilencerCo harvester's that can be used on 22 cal up to 300 win mag they are light and really quiet he can change the thread mount from 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 it is direct thread, great cans the only drawback is they are not full auto rated and can heat up kinda fast, hope this helps!

:D. I've read while it won't make it hearing safe, it will do a good bit. Just curious if the 5.56 cans work well, or if stepping up to a 7.62 can would be a better bet?

My friend is looking for a can to suppress his 22-250. Any recommendations? Some say 5.56 cans will work just fine. He doesn't really need QD, so normal thread mount is fine.
Sorry I missed this. For 22-250 you have to use a silencer that is magnum rated. So that moves you up to the 30 caliber silencers. I shot the Harvester on a 22-250 and it sounded great. But any magnum rated silencer will work.

Jeremy, is the hunterown arms Kestrel .30 cal can worth a look? I've read poor reviews on it (compared to the 5.56 which is decently rated), but you guys have more experience than I can come across.
