I put 150 rounds of Sellier and Bellot 115 gr FMJ ammo through my pistol today. I switched to the flat backstrap and that has definately improved my shooting. I had 3 targets, so I put 50 rds in each. I started out at 7 yds with the first target. I put 35-40 rds withing 2.5 inches of eachother just left of the center and I was very pleased. Overall, this grouping was my best so far. I seem to have stopped shooting high and not as far left.

My next target went out to 10 yds. I had decent grouping, but it wasn't as good as the first and I was also experimenting with different grips. The 3rd target went back to 7 yds. I had a few 10 shot groups withing a inch or two of eachother but still not as good as the first. I caught myself tightening the grip and anticipating recoil a couple of times. The range also got a lot busier by this last 50 and the person next to me was firing a .44 mag which startled me a bit because it was very loud. There was also some guy going through his mags as fast as he could, so that didn't help my concentration either.

The gun is very accurate (at least when I am, as I seem to be the limiting factor). I got hit on the top of the head with casings a couple of times, but they may have bounced off of the lane divider. I had no FTF or FTE's with the S&B ammo. The S&B ammo also seemed to be a bit cleaner than the WWB. I didn't have as much gun powder residue on my arms and the front of the gun was cleaner. Hopefully my shooting will continue to improve as I'm becoming a little more aware of my grip and pulling the trigger (used to shotguns-mainly waterfowl hunting and upland birds where pulling the trigger doesn't effect aim much at all).

It fits my hands better. I wear medium sized gloves and the flat backstrap seems to have alleviated my shooting to the left for the most part. I'm sure there is still something on my end that is causing me to still be a touch left, but i'll work on it.
