I saw 300 for the first time a couple of nights ago. I enjoyed it but I think it would have been better without the "monster" aspect to it. Xerxes wasn't 9 feet tall. And I'm not sure rhino's were used in battle. Why make the traitor a deformed hunchback? I guess I was expecting a more historically accurate (if that is possible) movie. I think I like The 300 Spartans made back in 1962 better.

To bad we don't have leaders now a days like King Leonidas that fight on the front lines with his troops, risking his ass for his people.

200+years is hardly "now a days" though.
I think there's a place for fighting men, and a place for talking men. Rarely do they do well in the same place. Back then, a mans word was his bond, now, it's only an inconvenience if it were caught on tape.
