I just picked up some 45 acp 230 grain ball, 100 rounds of winchester at walmart for 39 bucks plus tax my question is, is this a good price on 45 acp ammo since ammo is so high? I dont own a 45acp anymore but i am buying ammo to stock up just incase i do buy another. I am thinking of buying some 1911 model not sure yet or i might go with a h&k USP or glock 21 before summer.

Unless the price just went up, I bought 100 round (in the 100 rd pack) of WWB in 45 for $28 at Wal-mart less than 2 weeks ago.

$39 / 100 rds is too high.

I bought 500 rds of .45 at the last gunshow for $126 out the door, which would be under $25 / 100 rds before taxes.

That's still high, but closer to reality. Ammo has gone up so much in the past couple of years it's freaking ridiculous.

Yes, I am buying 45 ammo, in anticipation of my XD45 purchase in a few months. I did the same with 40 cal ammo before I bought my 40 cal PX4 Storm 2 months back.
