Finding 5.7x28mm ammo is sometimes a daunting task. Lots of random threads about ammo deals popping up from time to time. Can we make this thread THE source of 5.7 availability information, maybe sticky it (if the Mods see it fit)?I'll start,

I appreciate folks posting info when a retailer has 5.7 in stock and for a good price but that goes out of date very quickly. I think a 'sticky' on this gets very unusable very quickly. When looking to purchase mass quantities of ammo on-line, I will always go to; AmmoSeek.com Unfortunately, not every seller lists there but it is my primary search tool anyway.

Elite Ammunition has this offering for 5.7 ammo. Other than being very pricey, I would like to know a little more about their verious offerings. Some of it is very high velocity. I would be interested in buying a few boxes for personal protection purposes, but would like some recommendations. Any and all comments would be much appreciated. I have been looking at the **************.com forum on the 57 ammo from Elite Ammunition and found the answer to the question "WHICH IS THE BEST SELF DEFENSE HUNTING CARRYING ZOMBIE ROUND?!!!" . Here is the comment:

WHICH IS THE BEST SELF DEFENSE HUNTING CARRYING ZOMBIE ROUND?!!! Capitalized, because that is usually how this question is stated. A direct quote from Jay at EA, and hopefully the FINAL word such that posters that actually use the wiki and do a search will find this answer;
"T6 for duty."
The ProtecTOR series is recommended for reduced over-penetration. The T6 is recommended as the most devastating carry round.
The ATF, in 2011, ruled that the brass composition (same as Barnes bullets) in EA's Trident Tactical (T6, S5, P6 & LE/MIL Restricted rounds) was not legal to be manufactured into the 5.7x28mm caliber round. In 2012, EA has re-manufactured the round in the same design, with a different composition.

Tried to order 5.7x28 from Cabela's tonight and found it not even to be listed in their inventory. When I looked 5 days ago, it was backorder status. Also checked various gun shops, even Gander Mountain in the Dayton, Ohio area and there was none to be found. Everyone getting ready for the post-election riots or is it the super storm?
