Anyone have a preference on brand. I am seeing lots of different styles and variants in price/design. Recommendations appreciated.

I havent bought or done a 80% lower but have been looking at them and read that you should always buy the same brand jig as the 80% lower that you will be buying.

Did not see one available by them. I will just have to do some more research. I like the idea of the ones with replaceable pieces. That way if you ruin one you do not have to buy another complete jig.

I've built a few 80%, 22 and 30 caliber. All have produced reliable accurate rifles.

The ar15 stuff came from: https://colfaxtactical.com/ar15.html The receiver is fine, but the jig is not anodized and care must be taken to not cut the FCC pocket into the mag release button hole. I don't know if it's the jig, lower or the combination.

The ar308 came from: 80% Products Both the receiver and jig are great. The jig is anodized and modular and fits the receiver well. No issues machining.

I plan to get a TM upper for my next 30 cal build.

I'm trying a 10/22 80% next.

Great fun!
