While debating on what scope I'm going to get either Vortex PST 1-4x24 or Leupold VXR Patrol 1.25-4x20 I need a good scope mount.

I can order the Leupold with the LT111 combo from Larue and be done with it or I can get the AD Delta which I have read on here is a excellent mount and made for the Scar. Midway has the AD Delta Mount in FDE. Does anybody have this color on their FDE Scar17s? Wondering if it looks good or should I just go for blk.

Any pics of the FDE mount on a FDE Scar17s would be great if anybody uses this.

That look great KTM. Since I made this thread I think I'm going to go with the Vortex Razor HD 1-6. I don't think the fde Delta mount would go with the color of the Razor.

My Scar17s is fde and I have been trying to find a pic of another fde Scar with this scope to see what the color combo looks like. No luck yet

Can someone tell me the difference between the AD Delta and the Recon?
I'm sure they both will do the same job but the Recon has the split rings. Is one better than the other or no?

Think I found a couple pics of FDE scar 17 with optic you requested...

My SCAR17S's

To the best of my knowledge the Recon is a cantilever style meaning it mounts the scope alittle more forward(or backward) to get proper eye relief. Were the Delta on the other hand is a "straight up" mount with no eye relief built in. Take a look on American Defense MFG, LLC | Weapon Accessories featuring the patented QD Auto Lock Lever System. you can see the Delta has the rings directly above the mount were the Recon is offset(sticking out on one side).

I have the mount and just mailed it back to american defense today due to the qd shaft breaking off while running my scar 17 on Sunday have run around 1800 rounds thru my scar with this mount so I went and got a cheaper leopold mound until I get my mount back I was running Vortex hd2 razor 1x6 with this mount in fde. I will see if it happens again.

I've literally mounted and unmounted my lt660 larue mount probably 35 times, and have noticed ZERO rail damage. If anything it leaves a little mark where the mount makes contact, but that is only from the factory anti-sieze/lube... And either way we are talking about rifles based on there military counterpart, They were made to take the abuse of being used in a shi**ty environment. Trust me you have more fun with your guns and gear when you don't worry about scratches...

To be honest I never heard of LaRue mounts chewing up rails. I also have a LaRue mount on a Aimpoint micro and never had a issue with it. I was going to go with the AD Delta just because most everything I have read has been positive. I guess I will either go with the Delta or LT111 mount.

Forgot the quick plug. Got mine from Stryker Ent. Good price shipped fast. In fact most of the parts on there are from Sarge.
