Been wanting to do an ak47 sbr / pistol brace set up for some time, thinking now is just as good as any other time, but not sure where to go for parts-- what would be recommended between an under folder- side folder, or even where to get parts for a brace set up in the case I go that way.

Here re is the pistol I would use for a starting point

ARSENAL SAM7K-01 Pistol, 7.62x39 : Semi Auto Pistols at GunBroker.com

advice-- dialog, thoughts-- appreciated and welcome. Thank you.

You will not be able to do an under folder with The SAM 7 due to the side rail. Unless you remove it that is..

You may be able to drill the plate steel over the hole that would traditionally accept a stock, and put one of these on.
AK47 Internal Stock Adapter Milled Receiver Block ACE DPH

and then attach your stock to it. Keep in mind you if go with the left side folder and it is a solid stock it will probably not fold all the way because of the side rail. The triangle skeleton stock may fit though.
