Don't EVER buy from those places!! They charge obscene premiums and rip off good people!! Best is to do some legwork & put some effort into it. Get armed with a little knwledge, then visit some pawn shops in your area amlong with jewelers shops. Think about it. These places buy off the street, then have to sell in bulk to someone else to get their investment back. And they pay less than HALF of the going gold/silver rate when they buy. I know because I deal with them myself. Walk in with a bunch of cash & seal a deal on some scrap gold and or silver. Also auctions. That's my other HUGE source for AFFORDABLE gold & silver scrap...
