Does anyone have the latest word on American AUG. Is it actually in production yet? Is there a definite release date? I hope this thing comes to fruition.

The M.S.A.R. model STG-556 which takes a proprietary AUG style clear mags, but not interchangeable with Steyr AUG, are scheduled to be released sometime this month.

They're testing and evaluating their rifle now but there's no word on how the test are going, if they find any problems that's going to delay the release date for sure.

The other US made AUG which is Tactical Products Design (TPD) model AXR that takes M16/ AR-15 mags are scheduled to be released mid June of this year and they said that they're on schedule so far.

Here's a link for more info of both US AUG rifles in the Black Rifle Room forum of this same site.

Hello, her is a little info on our AXR rifle:

This is our mid length rail, and probably the best if you don't want to go with the whole enchilada that I will debut that in a week or so.

You get 10+ inches of rail on top. You can add a 3" side rail to the right side as well. With the 10" you can add a set of BUIS, an optic and depending on your prference a light or a laser, etc. on the right side.

The long rail, not shown, has 12.240" of top rail, short side rail and an additional three 3" rails up front in a proprietary configuration. If you are so inclined you could add an additional three 3" rails to the three already there for a rediculous total of seven(7) 3" rails and the top extended rail. I think that should be enough real estate for even the most avid gadget freak out there.

You can also go with the extended rail with no additonal 3" rails if you like.

We also have another little rig we will show, but it is not in production yet. Option for the people with launchers.

You can go to TPDUSA.com and see the video and find alot of information about the AXR there!

What fun!
