I've had 3 scopes have issues while mounted on my 17. All are from Bushnell's Elite Tactical line. Any owner will tell you they're built like a tank and there are countless positive reviews on youtube and Sniper's Hide.
The first one is a 3-21x G2DMR. The 17 shook it so much a little of the lube got on the inside of the ocular lens. You can clearly see it if you hold a flashlight to it, but can't be seen while in use, so I kept it and just mounted it on another rifle. The next two are 1-6.5x. The illumination in both died before I got through the first box of rounds. These are $1000-$1200 scopes that have recieved overwhelmingly positive reviews.
I now have a $400 Burris 3.5-10x MTAC mounted on a PEPR on it without issues after a couple hundred rounds. The 17 being a scope killer may just be a myth, but my experience say otherwise.
