Boy, it's a bummer to see "NO SALES TO CA" on every listing for the new PS90s on gunbroker.com and other sites.

Does anyone know of a dealer willing to transfer a disassembled PS90 to me via Ade's Gun Shop here in Orange County, CA? I'd ask that they ship the 30-rd mag (or 50-rd, if those are civilian-legal) to my parents who live in a gun-friendly state, ship the lower stock directly to me, and ship the upper to the FFL. I'll buy castrated 10-rd mags here and reclaim the 30/50-rounders when I eventually leave Calif.

I am aware of LAN World's PS90s, but the price is $500 more than what out of state sellers are asking on gunbroker. I'd take the difference and use it to make the PS90 California-legal in a non-destructive, reversible way--possibly Therm's patented modification.

Thanks in advance!

If you have a reciever lined up then you should be fine.

Call the CA DOJ and ask for a letter that states that recievers are allowed becuase it does not classify as an AW since it has NO fetures. Then go down to what ever dealer, tell them what your getting, who to send the FFL to and physicaly hand them the letter from the CA DOJ. If they still dont want to do it, then never go back to that shop again.

I paved the way for this back in 2000 when I bought an FAL reciever, as soon as you plop down the letter to the dealer, it clears up any confusion.

Next you should leave Cali, honestly...

Yup, I'm long-term planning for my eventual departure from the People's Republic of Kalif. The way the budget empasse's going, it's pretty clear that this state's socialist policies are going to tank (and have been tanking) the economy, so regardless of the gun control laws (thank God for Heller--the NRA and CRPA are going after the City of San Francisco), it may soon become impossible to earn a decent living here without becoming dependent on the state gov't.

(In other words, they'll take so much of your money in the form of taxes that you'll have to become dependent on them in order to get some of that money back in the form of gov't goods and services.)

One thing that boggles my mind about the illegal immigrants is this simple truth: When they disobey the law by coming here illegally, they undermine the very system of laws that makes this place a better place to live than Mexico. The whole reason that people can't live decently in Mexico is because corruption at both the private and government levels is so common and pervasive that everyone accepts it as a fact of life. What they really should be doing by coming here is working extra hard to uphold the rule of law and true justice (not this so-called "social justice") so that California doesn't turn into another place they'll have to escape from.

It's almost like a communicable disease--we have to put illegals in "quarantine" to prevent their "disease" of corruption from spreading to our society and governments. Of course, "humane" people would argue that we shouldn't "quarantine" people for wanting to improve their lives, but if they bring with them something that can and will harm others, it would be just as inhumane to deny us the right to protect ourselves.

Anyway, offa the soapbox and back to the original topic: while I'm here, I'd like to find an out-of-state FN dealer who'd be willing to sell me a complete PS90 and ship the various parts to different addresses. I'm not terribly interested in private party sales because I'd like to take advantage of the C-More sight offer. Any referrals are welcome!

Boy, I thought it was bad in Taxassachush!ts with gun stuff!

Don't qoute me on this, but I was told that FFL's that transfer to and from Cali FFL's need to register with state of cali to be able to do that sort of business.

This may be part of why you see on gunbroker that no one will do business with Cali.

Coldwarshooters had a CA-legal PS90 on display last time I was there. If not in stock they can certainly get you one. They're in Highland.

I really feel bad for the true gun enthusiasts in those states that have a hard time finding what they want, but I applaud the retailers refusing to sell in those states where legislation has become ****ing ridiculous.

Good luck finding what you need (sincerely)!

Madhouse:

Love the avatar, by the way. Yeah, I agree, we all gotta stand up for what's right. If it turns out to be true that FFLs have to register with the state, I would indeed oppose that, as registration is the first step towards confiscation, even though it makes it tougher for me to do what we also know is right.

Thanks, sevans21, for the tips to check with Coldwarshooters. I'll go check them out.

aztecw: You know, I had thought Tanner's would be absolutely the place to go for my PS90, but I checked with them and they said "no sales to CA." It also happens to say that prominently on their gunbroker listings for their PS90s. Too bad--they've got a fantastic price.

Thanks guys!

dchang0- Whom did you speak with at Tanner's?
The name escapes me now--jeez, I should have paid more attention! Is there someone in particular I should speak to? (Ray?)

Iceman: Hey, it'll probably happen sooner than later. Did you know that Calif. just set a new record for the longest time after the beginning of the fiscal year to not have passed a state budget yet? 63 days, IIRC. The state is clearly SCREWED--too many hands held out for $$$ and not enough $$$ to go around. We've got a Democratically-controlled legislature, and one would think that they'd get along since they're all on the same side, but nooo, they're too busy squabbling for their pieces of the action. It's gone from a two-party system to a one-party system to "Every man for himself!"

Guard your home states carefully--freebies and handouts lead to this in the long run. "United we stand, divided we fall." Calif. will fall--there's no unity to be found here since every group and subgroup is demonized by the rest, especially gun-owners.

my cousin said he's voting oblama/biden or was until I pointed out Biden takes credit for introducing the assault weapons ban so he may as well just turn them all in now. Calif. is neutering him little by little just like a frog in boiling water.

What, is he crazy? Obama/Biden are totally anti-gun. The whole reason I'm stocking up now is because of the bans Obama would put in place if elected. Practically s--t my pants with glee to see that Palin is a life member of the NRA like me, though I ain't a Republican (or a Democrat, for that matter).

Frog in boiling water is right! This one's smart enough to jump outta the pan when it gets too hot. One hypothetical question to you guys: if the USA banned guns, would you consider leaving the country? Running from a state is one thing, but running from our nation is another. When do we take a stand? (A friend of mine got on me for saying that I was preparing to leave Calif--said I was chickening out instead of staying to fight the good fight.)

aztecw: THANKS! I'll give Tim a call! Saw a used PS90 go up for sale that will ship to Calif., but used doesn't qualify for the CMore sight offer. Tanner's would be my best bet by far.

howzit dchang0! leave the USA H freaking no. want a POTUS VPOTUS Congress etc. to uphold the US Constitution, yes. Tonight I went through my Uncle's old Army locker again - MATS schedule and boarding tickets, housing inventory, orders and citations, photos (one from Walla Walla at the range :? another faded one by some crazy rice paddy with hoards of kids). While he may not have fought alongside John McCain (or maybe he did I can't ask anymore now he's gone) it was the same "theater". my vote is clear with no second guessing. Sarah Palin seals it.

Freakin well said, FNisland! I'm inspired to stick it out here in Kalif. and fight for our rights--if I run from here, they say that "California leads the nation" in terms of looney legislation, so a ban won here might spread to the feds, and none of us are gonna leave the USA.

Might as well fight now, here in Calif., before it gets that far!

dchang0 - I think I saw that used ps90 on gunbroker to. I tried to post the link but it didn't work so I just deleated it.

Tanners is selling the white recticle, which I don't think qualifies for the c-more offer. I talked to Bob at FN and going to try for the mag and ammo offer, if I can ever get a copy of the 4473 form.

I'm not leaving Cali. either.

Hi, aztecw:

I'll kindly step out of the way if you have your eye on any particular purchase--just PM me. Really, I shouldn't be buying another gun so soon when I haven't paid off the FS2000 yet, but the offers and the election are pushing me to.

Yeah, looking specifically for the Triple Rail model slims down the selection a lot. I might have to bite and go with one of the black reticle models and go for the ammo deal (we can't get the 50rnd mags shipped to Calif.)

Good luck to ya--we have just under a month left on the offers!
