So what can you guys tell me about this spartan upper? Been reading reviews seems ok. Non reciprocate handle. Price is decent. Thinking about putting one on my next build maybe build my first piston driven ar. Would be shooting suppressed mainly, the piston driven would stay cleaner. Also they claim this side charging upper cuts down on gas back pressure from being as bad while shooting suppressed. I like everything about it except no dust cover. I believe this can be used with di or piston. Opinions please, what do you think?

Sorry about link. If you Google spartan side charger joebobs comes right up. Anyways it is about half the price as others I have seen plus has handle on left side which I think is better

Take a look at American Spirit Arms side charging upper. It has a charging handle that folds, so it's not sticking out.

Has a dust cover, and if you get the Adams Arms piston kit, they will notch the bolt carrier for you.

That is a nice looking upper Sony. I like the looks of that better even if it Isa little more expensive. So is Adams arms the piston kit to use when building a piston gun. I have never built a piston gun. Never saw the purpose in doing so until now, been shooting suppressed a lot and things get really dirty. The only thing I did not like the looks of on that Adams kit was it does not fit under the rail. Not a deal breaker but I am not crazy about the looks.

Check out the ASA side charging billet upper as well. I used it on a build and like how the handle folds down for a lower profile.

Hmmmmm that serbu su~15 that is coming out looks hard to beat for the money. Side charging, piston driven, and I think it would be hard to make something comparable for the money. Pre order in the next two weeks for$795 after that out will be $1050. Gotta think about this. Oh and it is nonrecipercating also

Is this price for the whole rifle or just the upper? Been looking at the ARAK 21.

I have one of these....Adcor B.E.A.R. Elite. It has a charging handle on the right side of the rail. It is a piston gun with an adjustable gas block. I purchased it to use with a suppressor....I have yet to shoot it yet as I also picked up a SCAR 16 about the same time.

I swear with each "informative" post Mark puts out there on Facebook giving info on the new upper he causes me to have more unanswered questions. He needs to have an itemized list of features for each configuration to be offered. Instead we get tidbits of info that just cause more unanswered questions due to the lack of clarity as to what is being offered. Also he keeps saying all these additional features and options will be offered later but not on the initial first run. That's frustrating because some of those options I would like. Oh well I guess you have to sacrifice to get into the first run and at a huge discount. The whole thing seems unorganized but it will be worth it in the end I am sure given the quality of stuff mark puts out. April cannot get here fast enough. Can't wait to have it in my hands.
