Hello all,'

Been lurking and reading up on the site for quite a while and wanted to say hello. I just picked up spankin new Five-seven and was told something very interesting by the clerk. He stated that both the PS90 and 5/7's would no longer be imported here after June 1st and, that what stock the distributors have will be it after such date.

Anyone else hear of this? I've been drooling for a PS90 and am a bit worried about running out of time before I can scratch up the cash for one. Was I fed BS just to get a sale?

Every few months - someone posts this issue. And last summer, 1 guy was SO positive that the info he got from an ATF buddy, that he claimed to have run out and bought 5 PS90s (so they would be worth double).

Hasn't happened yet. And gun shop "experts" are famous for having the wrong info.

In the past, I got nervous when I heard such talk. However - these "rumors" have come up so many times that I'm not too worried.

One day, the Five Seven MIGHT be banned. I don't see the PS90 getting banned unless there is a blanket ban on large capacity mags or something.

agreed....i would get one before Obama/Clinton gets in office....not to say they would ban them, but just a precaution.

i don't see why they would stop importing them, i think fn has made more money selling these weapons to civilians then different governments around the world, if there is no ban on the horizon for the mags, ammo, or gun i think you have nothing to worry about.

just a thought, they may not be importing them anymore because they want to make them in the usa, i believe parts of the ps90 are still made in belgium? i could be wrong but maybe thats what the gun guy was talking about he just spun it to get a sale.

I doubt the weapons will ever be banned, but the hi cap magazines may be.
Just my opinion though. Like Ship said, those rumors have been going around. I have a pal who used to run a gun shop and he was all the time hearing rumors. He said to never believe anything you hear and only half of what you see! :-D

Rumors have a way of driving prices up whether they are true or not. For that reason I am going to buy more mags while the prices are low. People that did that with AR mags before the AWB were able to sell off their extras they didn't want and not loose money and in most cases make money.
