We’ve been hearing bad things about
Bank of America’s ‘tude towards The People of the Gun for some time. You may recall, for example, that BoA gave McMillan Rifles the goodbye look. This Tweet just came over the e-transom. It backs up another report recently sent to TTAG central: BoA was requiring telephone cardholder authorization for purchases at a Florida gun store. If we’ve got this wrong, I’d be happy to run a statement from BoA clarifying their policy towards customers—both corporate and individual—exercising their Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear (and buy and sell) arms. Alternatively, if you’ve been hard done by by the bank that sucked on the taxpayer tit to the tune of$45b please feel free to share with the group below.

Just used my Bank of America debit card to buy a gun, no problem at all. I'm going to use it tomorrow to buy another one and I'm guessing it will go through also.

I don't know the whole story, but most banks have a transactional limit on debit cards. My bank is $3000.00. You can call ahead to get the limit increased or they will flag the sale and you'll have to call and get it released.

And WalMart is no longer ordering ammo either.
Funny....I threw the question mark on it.
It say it was requiring an authorization -- not declining

just found this -- somme truth,,(kinda)
It noted, however, two cases where the bank allegedly blocked its corporate customers from trading in firearms.
Last month American Spirit Arms owner Joe Sirochman claimed on Facebook that Bank of America froze his company’s accounts for three weeks, ultimately telling him via telephone, “We believe you should not be selling guns and parts on the Internet.”
And in April 2012, McMillan Group International operations director Kelly McMillan wrote on Facebook that a Bank of America senior vice president told him after the company began manufacturing guns that his business was no longer welcome.

I know how B of A auth strategies are coded and what they're able to do within their decision engine. Stopping gun and ammo trans isn't practical since the collateral of good declines or refers would be too high. In addition, new terms would need to be sent to 100MM+ customers prior to taking such action since declining sales not deemed fraud and on accounts that are open, current and under limit would be considered taking adverse action.

Well, customers automatically receives $25 after paying any amount more than the monthly minimum due when they make payments on time. They also receive $5 bonus each quarter when they have qualifying account relationship with the bank or they are card customers with a checking and savings. With that customers could could earn up to $120 in cash rewards annually. Most charge card rewards programs pay card holders for spending and adding to debt. However, Bank of America recently released a new card that rewards people for paying off debt. The BankAmericard Better Balance Rewards card incentivizes consumers for paying their regular bills on time and for throwing in a little more over their minimum charge. You can get a payday loan to make your credit card payment on time if you want the reward.

Really?...Lets take out a traditionally very high interest short term loan in order to save $120.00 annually. Not.
