Looking for some good 9mm practice ammo. I plan on using the Federal Hydra Shok 124 grain for carry, so I was thinking of practicing with a round pretty close to the same. The Hydra Shok is a bit expensive round to use in practice. :D Any ideas out there?

If you shoot 124g, practice with 124g.

I use my reloads so I can not give you a source for 'affordable' 9mm ammo.

Bass sells Winchester SZX (maybe SXZ) in both FMJ and JHP. The FMJs are truncated and Winchester claims the same ballistics for both, and they are pretty cheap. I think they may be a Bass exclusive, but may be marketed under another name elsewhere.

Practice with the cheapest round that feeds reliably in your gun. It's PRACTICE ammo, so don't sweat it.

Winchester in the white box (WWB) from Walmart, Blazer Brass, or even Wolf ammo.
