I think I flip flopped my next 2 gun purchases - an XD 45 and a Storm CX4.

I think I'm gonna get the Storm CX4 first. It's the only other rifle that interests me - despite bing a 9mm. It would save me a lot of costs on ammo to have a 9mm carbine, and I already have 9mm stashed, as I have several 9mm pistols.

I think I'm gonna put an Eotech on it as well...

It never ends.... <sigh>

I've thought about that - but I like the wider firld of view on my PS90 thru the eotech. Even with a clearer reticle on the PS90 (clearer than the white ringed sight, or with the white ringed sight with a REM2) - I think I can pick up a target faster and easier with the eotech. So, I don't think I would pull it off of my PS90.

Cool. I've used Top Gun a few times also. Always a good experience.

I probably won't get the Storm until the Jan reliant show in Houston - but I'll have the sight. I'll probably get an Urban ERT single pt sling for the gun after I have it.

I don't care for a forward grip on the Storm - so I'm not gonna deck the carbine out with tons of stuff. Probably just a sling, eotech and top rail.

I think you shoud just come to the DARK side and get an M4 :?
No - I've looked at them many times (many, many times) . And, truthfully - while the Ar guys always say that it is no big deal. I don't feel like cleaning the gun with that gas system after a long day at the range. And, there are too many damn parts to deal with.

I like the feel of the Storm. And, I'm ordering my sling for it today. So - all I need is the gun now

Sorry :p

I don't wanna spend the mucho bucks of the pistons... The cheaper of the piston guns - the Sig 556 - doesn't do it for me when I hold it.

The Storm isn't that expensive - although, it seems that the wholesale price of them has gone up this year. In early 2007, I could have gotten them for $525 new at gun shows... They are more now.

I have the EOtech coming in tomorrow, I think, and I ordered the CX4 Storm sling from Urban ERT today....

I am with you Ship on the cleaning of the AR system. I got my first one(M4gery) this year. It is great fun to shoot, like the PS90, but when I was cleaning the AR, I was thinking man this is Such a complicated design. So many parts and nooks and crannies.
Makes it a pleasure to clean a PS90 or a FAL.

What about a Hi Power with an attachable shoulder stock? Some are non NFA and you get the best of both worlds.

Nah - if I'm gonna go with a pistol caliber, I like the Storm the best.

And yea, I have been spoiled by the disassembly and cleaning of the PS90...

I was surprised to find that when holding them, I prefer the M4s without the quadrail setups on the front end. But, as just talked about - I don't want to clean them. It may not be "that bad" as I always here the M4 guys trying to convince me. But, I don't want to mess with it.

Well, I played with a bunch of guns today at the local Gander and at my local shop. I'm definetly going to get the Storm. I like the feel.

I did see one of those Robinson XCR rifles. Pretty kewl setup - but I do not want to spent that much.

Now, I just gotta wait until I can hit a gun show after Christmas. My local store costs too much. And, while my Academy has one at $675 - the polymer stock is all beat to hell. Plus, I think I can find one for $600 or less at a show.
