So how do y'all clean your slide without removing your RMR?
Seems the flush with the polymer safe crud buster is out,so how do y'all manage without having to remove the RMR?

Haven't installed a RMR on my FNX 45T yet. I would likely wrap it in Saran wrap and carefully clean around it.

Yeah I thought of that. I guess the old flush it with high pressure cleaner is out.
So I have to wonder if the RMR will return like the EoTech does. The Eo will return within 1 MOA after removing. I have to assume the RMR wont?

Ditto no flushing with the pressure cleaner. Maybe a slide wipe with some Hoppe's on a rag?

Cover it with a finger cot. Just make sure that your cleaning chemicals won't dissolve the cot material first.

If the slide is that dirty then pull the RMR... But then I have to ask what the heck are you shooting that gets the slide so dirty? Mine has always cleaned right up with just a simple wipe down.

I have a CORE and don't hose anything down near the sight. Sight costs more than the pistol LOL. Just use a rag and go easy.

I clean the gunk out then after the slide is clean I use some rubbing alcohol and clean the rmr window. The first r in rmr stands for 'ruggedized'

I clean mine the way I clean with other guns. Wipe it down with Hoppe's gun cleaner mild solvent and apply some break free clp.

You guys are making gun maintenance more of a chore than it needs to be.
