I recently purchased a commandarms.com accessory rail for my ps. They fit in the square indentions in front of the magazine. They are made in israel out of aluminium for the ps. They position the accessory, such as m6 laser light, within easy access of your thumb to activate just like on a handgun. So no wires. It has to have 1 hole drilled through the indentions, so the 2 square plugs can be joined with a screw, but after seeing all the redesigns that members have done, I don't think that this is a drastic mod. :-D I have pics, but i'm having trouble posting them.

I saw these, but I was alittle leary about the hole drilling a hole through the receiver thing. I'd greatly appreciate photo's and your impression of how tight the fit is. Did you do the work or have a smith do it?

No smith. just put the plug without the threads in place, and marked it.
Then drilled. Clean hole, no prob. It would be better under the barrel though. The supplied screw was a little short, so I used a sub. very tight. I saw a pic somewhere of a rail that clamped on the flat spot on the barrel, where the barrel meets the reciever in an L shape. I thought it was on this site, but I never could find it again. anyway this is nice, easy, and lower than up by the top rail. Must have messed up on the pics, they look like thumb nails.

Thanks Shipwreck, I tried again, but that 1 was huge. Yea, I wasn'treal excited about drilling either. The site didn't say anything about drilling, but in for penny, in for a pound. It's a small holle :D

I had a TLR-1 Mounted on one of the rails on the port side of my PS90. Seems like a good iead and I could slide my left thumb up and onto the stock switch with ease.

THEN I went and trained with it and found when slung and moving about the switch came into contact with my body vest and was flicking the swicth intermitantly and then sometimes it would flip to the constant one position.

I gotta move my light to the starboard side...like I have on my other rifles...now I gotta get the extends tape switch and such...my experiene.

You might find lights lasers mounted on the side that comes into contact with your body (assumming you are right handed) can have such issues....I had thought it high enuf, but I was wrong.

YMMV.

Cheers,

TDI

TDI, Command Arms, Mako, Fobus... all the same company. You can also mount just one side of the rail set. If you are going to move the light over to the right side of the receiver you can get a screw that is about 1/8" shorter and mount just the right side rail. That would give you even more room around the charging handle on the left side. You can also flip the rails to get them even closer to the level of the bore. The hole is small and in an area of the receiver that will not affect its strength at all. Someone talked me out of my standard model PS90 before I ever got a chance to mount the CAA/TDI rail set I bought. The next two PS90s I bought were TRs, but the TDI rail is closer to the bore that the side rails of the TR. Shipwreck, if you want to buy a set of these I still have them and could mount them for you.

Ok - I wondered if TDI and Command Arms were connected.

As for the rail - I'm tempted. But with that Double Mount I have by Critical Dimensions, I think I am good. If not for that double mount, I would definitely take you up on that and would buy the rail from you (because I wanted my light and laser on the outside)
