Well I've fondled all three calibers, fired none but I love what I have fondled so far, so much that I'm thinking about selling my Sig P226 DAK in order to purchase two FNP Pistols.

I believe that I saw a post or two where guys are saying that the FNP 45 is as easy the shoot as the FNP 9mm?
:-?

I wouldn't say that the FNP-45 is as easy to shoot as a 9mm, but it's a nice, soft shooting pistol.

.45ACP is not a high pressure round, so you get more of a roll than a snap.

In wookie (my) hands, there was almost no muzzle rise....look at my right elbow, you'll see spent cases, then look at where the muzzle is....

"Average" sized guy:

Personally I'd stick with a 9mm or a .45 ACP.

i have my USP .45 as my "comfort" weapon. I also like to carry the FiveseveN for mag capacity and how little the gun weighs which is always a plus.

That particular variant hasn't been released to the general public yet, so I can't really give you any guidelines on pricing.

Probably less than an HK 45.

I've got a pair of those same Peltor ear muffs featured in the pictures of the guys shooting the new military FNP-45. I've always wondered, are the microphones supposed to face forward or back?

They're "supposed" to face forward.

I wear mine facing back for two reasons.

1) When rapidly mounting a long gun, I've had the stock crash into the mics....not good.

2) The instructor/range officer is almost always behind me, and having them face to the rear helps me hear better.
