That way I could have the 10.3" barrel... Typically pistols with stocks would be a NFA item IIRC but since the buttstock is integral to the gun and houses critical assemblies and is not removable is this a go-around?

Sorry - a short barrel would be a short barreled rifle. The PS90 isn't considered a pistol. Nice try, though :?

What if it was registered a a pistol from the get go and not ever a complete firearm? One of Panacea's billet receivers might be the ticket...

But once you put the stock on it, thats when you run into trouble.
Unless you just want a virgin PS90 receiver laying around the house, only so that you can say you have a PS90 Pistol...

But the stock is also part of the grip and not separable...that's where the rub is.

Sorry - but there is no way to classify a rifle as a pistol. I know there are pistol ARs and such, but the PS90 with a 10" barrel is still a short barreled rifle. You would have to redesign the stock and still keel the trigger pack and moving parts group.
