Interesting information about gun-mounted flashlight safety

DENVER — Denver’s police chief has ordered a review of all department policies after the second accidental shooting this month and the fifth in a little over a year.

The review is paying particular attention to gun-mounted tactical flashlights, which are blamed for at least two of the shootings. Some models have on/off switches located just below the gun’s trigger guard. - See more at: http://www.chieftain.com/news/region/2401948-120/denver-flashlights-police-shootings#sthash.fLOvJg8T.dpuf

Dpd, had a growing rep for being heavy handed and has several incidents over past few years bordering on brutality. This actually does not surprise me.

It is pathetic to blame an attached light for a negligent discharge. Unfortunately to many shooters feel its safe to have their finger on the trigger before they have made a conscious decision to fire.
That's what I was thinking. Yes it's the flashlights fault

Sounds like they need better training for their officers.
