I have always loved 1911's but I like to carry DA/SA triggers. So for fun at the range and collecting give me a 1911 but for carry I want something else.
Currently I have a SIG P245 that is my 45 carry. It hides well, is reliable, relatively light, no rail, no beavertail, DA/SA, and fits my hand well. But it does flip more than I like and it isn't as accurate as I want it to be.
I had tried two P220 Carry guns but I never got attached to them and I ended up selling one and trading the other one away. What I do want to get though is a P220 Compact. I hope to find one at the gunshow this weekend and see how it fits my hand.
It has a beavertail that I'm not crazy about but if I like the way it feels I may have to bring home a Two-Tone. Here is a good video about the difference in the P245 and the P220 Compact if anyone is interested.
