This communist crap is going too far. Read the following article and you decide. I have decided that Cracker Barrel is racist because I have been called a Cracker by black dudes, and I am offended by its use.

Duck Dynasty Items Off Shelves at Cracker BarrelPETITIONS DEMAND REINSTATEMENT OF PHIL ROBERTSON

By Matt Cantor, Newser Staff

Posted Dec 21, 2013 3:30 PM CST

(NEWSER) – Cracker Barrel is distancing itself from Duck Dynasty as controversy swirls over Phil Robertson's anti-gay remarks in GQ (which apparently weren't the first of their kind). The chain is taking some Duck Dynasty gear off its shelves, at least for the time being, Fox Newsreports. "We removed selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests while we evaluate the situation," Cracker Barrel said in a statement. "Cracker Barrel’s mission is Pleasing People. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect, and equal treatment of all people."
The chain did, however, note that it would "continue to offer Duck Commander products," though they're owned by the Robertson family, Fox notes. Meanwhile, petitions against A&E's suspension of Robertson are gaining support. One at Change.org has more than 100,000 signers, while the website IStandWithPhil.com has more than 165,000. The site urges the "network to immediately reinstate Mr. Robertson to Duck Dynasty, and to formally apologize to him, his family, and the millions of viewers who tune in every week," CNN reports. A&E itself, however, isn't saying much, CNN notes: Details of Robertson's future with the show—and the show itself—remain uncertain. Nor is the rest of the Robertson family sure it wants to continue working with the network.

I just ate at a Cracker Barrel today and they had no shortage of Duck Dynasty crap in there for sale. And, I live in Atlanta and was one of few Caucasians in the place. If they are not pulling it here...where are they pulling it from exactly?

I just read the article, I guess it may take corporate a bit to get the message out, the hypocrites will probably wait until after the Christmas rush...I just get so pissed off at the attacks on Christians, freedom of speech, and our 2nd amendment.

The companies, organizations or whatever need to grow a set and stand their ground on their beliefs rather than to buckle because of another group is offended. This whole gay thing is out of control. I have absolutely no problem with people who choose a different lifestyle so as long as they have happiness, but this has got to stop. We are so worried about offending other belief systems or lifestyles. If, for example, you are offended by the Pledge of Allegiance, then don't say it.
People have the right to have opinions and these morons who abandon their beliefs or choices and jump on the band wagon because they are afraid of offending or being labeld as anti-(whatever). I have lost any respect and interest in Cracker Barrel because of their choice to abandon Duck Dynasty.

My wife works at Cracker Barrel so I just asked her about this. She said they had to pull the Duck Dynasty stuff off the shelves, well most of it. They left the Duck Commander stuff up for sale. She said really no rhyme or reason to it. She also said everyone is highly pissed. Customers getting mad because it's gone.

So most of the stuff A&E gets a cut on got pulled, while the stuff they make no money off of stayed.

I hate cracker barrel and they will continue to not receive my patronage, I am so sick of this politically correct bull****, this country is so ****ed up and the media is part of the problem, they sway people's minds to make them think it is a majority opinion, when it isn't. I do not understand that people do not see that the majority of this country most likely agrees with Phil. I refuse to watch ANYTHING on A&E now, I am done with them.

Change of Heart

Looks like Cracker Barrel has had a change of heart.

Less than 48 hours after Cracker Barrel announced plans to pull Duck Dynasty items off its shelves in the wake of cast member Phil Robertson's anti-gay comments, the Southern country store and restaurant chain has reversed its decision.

Cracker Barrel's reversal of its former position was posted this morning to Facebook, following a flurry of negative responses from customers and fans who showed support to the patriarch of the "Duck Dynasty" family.

"When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that's just what we've done," the company wrote. "You flat out told us we were wrong. We listened."

"People weren't shy. They wrote, called and took to social media," company spokesman Jeff Eller told ABC News about the company's decision to go back on its original pledge to ax "selected products" from its stores.

Cracker Barrel's actions remind of CTD. I still haven't bought anything from them.

Companies are nothing but the reflection of the people that run them. When you boil it down, it is always a person or persons that you see.

This country, in its weird attempt to show its moral superiority has done nothing more than prove you can't serve God and mammon, you will either love one or hate the other.

By removing the moral authority, the standard, the light house on the hill, from the basis or foundation of our arguments do we find it curious that our house has fallen?

Cracker Barrel's executives do not know which way to look for guidance. Is it the popular culture of acceptance at all cost to show we are accepting? Is it the political correctness set up by liars that will say anything to get voted into power?

Has Cracker Barrel learned the reason why so many people were upset? Or, is the drop in revenue what has their attention? Did they find their moral compass? Or, is their statement true verbatim and they don't want to offend anyone. If that is the case then they will ultimately offend everyone.

I don't have to ever go to Cracker Barrel again. My wife can out cook them any day.

This much is true, once I write a company off, it is off for a very long time. I still haven't bought any Levi's since they pulled their funding from the Boy Scouts of America many many years ago.

Vote at the ballot. Vote with your wallet. Vote with your social media messages.

And just in case, if anyone is wondering, I am terribly offended everyday by some person or group of leftists, communists, socialists, liberals, democrats, old-school republican establishment types, hollywood types, etc.

Yeah OP...if you take Cracker Barrel away from him...he'll have nothing left :cry:

Seriously Hairtrigger...I'm pretty sure the OPs use of imperative in the title wasn't non-negotiable...I suggest you chillax...it's just a suggestion though...

Well, I'm going to chime in here and I might have a less popular opinion. First, I want to state that I agree with Phil.

However, I have absolutely nothing against gays, and think that it's high time that we leave them alone because it is inevitable that they will have all the rights of a hetero couple in this country. I am personally OK with that, because I think that government-recognized unions between them will open the door for more adoptions; all children deserve to have a loving home, and I don't believe that most homosexuals will force a child to be gay or do anything heinous to them. While what they do IS considered a sin in the bible, the bible also says that judgment is God's right and His alone, and that unless we are completely without sin, we have no right to judge; this country is also not a christian theocracy. I do not believe any government should be based on religious principles, and many of our founding fathers were deists, not christians.

That said, I do personally think that any guy who is attracted to men is a little f'ed in the head. Vaginas were designed by nature/evolution (if you don't believe in God) to be the most pleasurable residence for a penis. They are far more robust and capable of handling the rigorous forces of sex, the anus is not. It is unhealthy for a number of reasons, and I personally think it's just plain nasty. But I also know plenty of guys that prefer that route with women, which is STILL a sin to those of Abrahamic faiths, and I also know of homosexual men who do not participate in that act because of the previously listed reasons. I personally don't know how women even find men attractive, and don't all just go lesbians. I have always been attracted to women, and didn't even know a thing about homosexuality or what it even meant, or that it was even a thing, until I was in high school. But now, I see it as just another mental "offness." Women are bat **** crazy and make no sense to me, so gay guys can fall into that category. I've got ADD and a few other short comings of my own. I have friends that have major ego problems. I have friends that are supreme adulterers. I know people that stutter or have a twitch. I look at it this way: sometimes baby birds are born without both wings, sometimes pizzas get burnt, sometimes dudes just don't like boobies and vaginas, crap happens. It leaves more heterosexual women for the ugly guys like me. They aren't having sex with me, so I really don't care who they do have sex with.
And yes, many in that lifestyle are responsible for the spreading of HIV. The virus is, for all intents and purposes, guaranteed to spread if an infected man has unprotected sex with an anus or a vagina. Period. There is no refuting that. Rape victims aside, people who contract it today only have themselves to blame for not practicing safe sex.

If you can't handle that I think you are slightly messed up for chasing men, but don't really judge you for it and infact even still respect you as a person regardless, then you can go F right off. You have no right to tell me what opinion to have. At least I'm not trying to have you FRIGGING KILLED or beat up, like others have done AND STILL DO in certain countries. I don't mind gay guys, but the whiney little prissy sisters that don't act even REMOTELY manly get on my last f'ing nerve. I think what you do in the bedroom is nasty, get over it. Some gay guys think that vaginas are gross, and I think many of them are (lol ham sammich!), but I don't give the tiniest damn what you think about me wanting to have sex with one. Why do YOU have to care what I think about your sexual choices? It's the same problem with some people and religion, usually the fundamentalist psychos: you don't believe what I believe, so you think I am wrong, and so I hate you and want you dead or conformed. I will tolerate homosexuals, but don't try to make me like what they do. The only penis I like is mine, period.

Phil never said that he hates gays and hopes they burn in hell. But even if he did, that is his RIGHT.

HOWEVER, A&E is a BUSINESS. Cracker Barrel is a business. It is THEIR right to choose whom they want representing them. The homosexual community actually has a list of businesses that they have rated as gay-friendly or not. A great deal of that community adheres to this list, and chooses to not do business with them. Just as many gun owners choose to not do business with companies that are unsupportive of THEIR wishes. If HBO were to openly say that they would be joining Bloomberg and Feinstein in funding gun grabs and that they wished to completely disarm the american populace of firearms, I'm as certain as I am about the sun coming up tomorrow that there would be major boycotting of HBO. I also guarantee that if Tom Cruise were to say that he doesn't believe in the 2A, there are more than a few individuals who would decide to NEVER watch his movies, FOR THAT REASON ALONE. I personally would boycott HBO in the first situation, but not Tom Cruise in the second. An opinion is one thing, actively trying to force it upon others is a problem. Again, A&E is a business. And anyone who thinks that this country hasn't gotten thin skinned needs to get hit with some reality. Just as I believe that a privately owned company should be able to deny a male employee that wants to dress like a woman and act like a unicorn a job, either on personal principles or because of the potential impact it could have on making profit, A&E has the same right.

This is where capitalism comes in. You, as the customer, have every RIGHT to say, "well F' you, A&E. You don't want to show Phil? I refuse to watch your channel." If enough customers do this, then A&E will lose ratings. Lost ratings equals lost income from advertising. Lost income equates to...... I'll leave this one for you to fill in.

So, to recap my overly drawn out post: I don't mind gays, but I think they are gross, but they shouldn't care what I think. Phil has every right to say the same thing. A&E has every right to try and protect its profits, and you guys who watched the show have every right to never watch A&E, or eat at Cracker Barrell, again until they cave.

That said, I don't eat at cracker barrel and I dont watch A&E. I absolutely hate reality TV.

Having a cast iron gut and throwing out all the Doc's recommendations in avoiding foods that are high in cholesterol and fat, I'm mapping the shortest route to the nearest Cracker Barrel NOW!!!

CB's boss made a mistake. He fessed up, and did the right thing the second he realized he should have left well enough alone...

Phil's entitled to his beliefs and they're protected in the Bill Of Rights. A&E wants to appease one group while alienating another, that's up to them. Phil will keep chugging along as will the rest of the family and their company. They managed to do well for themselves, before A&E, and I'm sure they will prosper after A&E.

I'm of the opinion that Phil's religious beliefs are his and to punish him for publicly stating his beliefs by firing him constitutes grounds for a civil rights violation under the EEOC Act unless there's a clause in the contract that states otherwise.

That "rights" sword cuts both ways. ACLU take note.
