Has anyone tried one of those $70.00 Eotech clones that are available on eBay? I've seen two models...one that uses LR44 button cells and one that uses (3) AAA batteries. They advertise that the reticle can be switched to either red or green.

Anyone try one yet???

It is my understanding that it is just a red dot scope in an eotech clone type of shell (but just plastic - no metal cage around it). It is NOT a holo sight like the real EOtech.

I've seen some comments about them on Ar15.com. I think I've read 4-5 pos comments and 1 neg one over the past year.

If it is just a range gun - I guess try it. If it is a gun you may ever use for self defense, I'd rather buy either a real EOtech, or even a red dot scope for $100 or so. Not sure if I would trust a knock off for something serious.

+1 to what Shipwreck said. SPOT Mk.III (Aimpoint clone) @$150 is the least expensive optic I'd consider for the PS90, even as a range toy.
