I emailed FN USA a few days ago, I asked when the Fiveseven nightsights would be available. The reply I got stated..........

They should be out at the end of the year!

I had heard something similar before. I wonder if they will be fixed or adjustable.

That front sight blade looks interesting - not sure how U would take it out to replace it.

My supplier's FN rep said that they wouldn't be out until Jan '08 at the soonest.

I truly hope you are right and my guy was wrong!

Hold one for me!

My FiveSeven came with the factory nite sites and they are fixed and cast into the slide.

Of coarse I have an older model tactical (pre-IOM) with the oval trigger guard, no notches on the rail and the SN is engraved in plastic, not a metal insert.

My guess is it won't be out until after the 08 SHOT show.
They've been pushing the date back so many times now.....

Does anybody have the latest on Night Sights for the 57 or a workaround
from some other source ?

I have called Bob A several times over the last 12months now and they
just seem to push it back & back...

Now, its July 08 and still nothing. I dont understand why this is such a big
deal - or why Trij or Mepro hasn't done an aftermarket version.... ?

;-(

I haven't been a member very long....so forgive me if this information has already been posted. ToolTech is Trijicon's recommended specialty shop and they can do night sights for the Five-SeveN with genuine Trijicon tritium lamps.

3-Dot price for the FN57 is $287.00 for parts, labor, and installation Plus $17.50 for shipping, handling, and insurance. The front sight as well as the rear sight blade will be replaced with a custom three dot adjustable night sight set.

There are pics on the website.

Hope this helps.

ShipWreck:
The front sight is dovetailed just like the rear. You need to first remove the slide cover. You can then drift the front sight out or use a sight pusher.

Thanks MagDog!

I suppose the next question would be - is there any possibility that
some other gun's nightsights would be made to a) fit and b) be the
same height relation....?

I have replaced sights on Sig, HK, Kimber, Springfield, Colt, S&W & Glock and have never seen sight dovetails this dimension. I am not sure there are ANY existing sights out there with the same base dimensions. You just my have to wait for an entirely different sight to be produced.

those night sights look nice but for $304.50 i think i'll wait and see if the price comes down any. the good thing is it looks like you get to keep an adjustable rear sight.

Darn - I was hoping that I could find a substitute at some point but see my
last post - the OEM versions are coming in Oct.

But remind me not to hold my breath....

Bob at FN said around Oct 2008.

We can hold our collective breath if you like... ;-)

In the meantime I also want to try those Nightsighter stick-ons to see
how they do... they may be good for a few months I dont know.
