They probably are and I've haven't been let down by DSA especially in recent years they really have seemed to have kept up on their website and customer service is excellent, so is shipping cost, if you are putting them on a build Fal you have to watch the parts count, if you are putting them on a DSA I wouldn't worry, most of the parts on theirs is US made due to the drying up of spare imported parts, DSA mag counts as 3 parts so if you use those you could put all surplus furniture on your FAL.

Its not a parts gun. My FAL is the real deal and I want to experiment with adding a light, QD sling swivel and TD Stubbie to it and don't want to be drilling my original hand guard during the learning process, but don't want an inferior hand guard either.

They were made in Argentina and sold off when they shut down FAL production.

Compared to what? What's the worst hand guard you can buy?
I have a OSG Aussie L1A1 style set that I bought as "seconds" - badly warped. But then, I bought them as seconds so what is to complain about?

Not a fan of whatever Century was putting on their all-metric R1A1 9 or so years ago. Not really a fan of any of the plastic ones or the metal STG/G1 ones. In fact, the "best" - for me at least - is the set of Ironwood Designs handguards I picked up. Look good, no heat issues when firing several full mags, and US made for the parts count.
