I am starting to stock up on some ammo (I just recieved some by the UPs guy)

I was just wondering what is everyeone's favorite ammo to shoot.

My use to be the cheapest stuff I could buy but now that I have a little stock, I may buy some good stuff now.

I like to shoot ss195 at the range because:
1) it cleaner so easer to clean when I'm done :-D
2) Its the only 5.7x28mm allowed at my indoor range. I still shoot it at the outdoor range aswell because its cleaner.

I like to keep SS197 and SS192 for my stock pile.

I've been shooting more of the SS197 than anything else. I have to say though my preference is strictly determined by price and availability.
I bought some quantity of SS197 and got a great deal. But in my quest to procure other samples, I was only able to procure SS192 & SS195 a single case at a time, so it took awhile to get my stock up.

ss192

What are you guys paying or did pay for the SS192. per box - per case

I have wanted some and have considered trading for some.

I have seen some on GB but it seem expensive considering CDNN had it for $20.00 a box recently.

it seems its cheaper to get ss197 in my area then ss195 most places dont stock ss195 only ss197, and the ones that do stock ss195 want 25 per box. Also I never fired indoors using 5.7 ammo why would ss195 be allowed but not ss197? It would seems the ss197 would be better on the backdrop ( OR WHATEVER IT IS CALLED) on the indoor range wouldnt it?

I was looking for SS192 but I can't find any but on GB. I may just order some SS197.
SS192 has not been imported into the US for a couple of years now (more than two) and the only place you will find it is on GB or from some other person who will sell it to you via private sale.

The SS192 and the SS195 are IDENTICAL except for the primer. The SS195 has a lead free primer and the SS192 has a lead based primer.

Ballistics are the same. You wind up paying out the wazzoo for a box that says SS192 on it. Thats a pretty expensive box.

Both rounds lack in performance.

Thanks for the Heads up.

I am looking to get some ammo that I can store away. Hence looking for the SS192 instead of the SS195.

Looks like I may be stocking up on SS197SR. Unless I can get some of the round that's not talked about.

Hitting the range tomorrow and takein with me SS195 and some of my SS198.

Fav Ammo to shoot

I had a great day at the range on Friday. It was a little windy but great!

Shot mostly SS198LF and some SS195LF. Shot at 12 by 14 Target basically they were free targets I printed out.

I shot at the 7 yd, 15 yd, 20 yd and 50 yd line.
I noticed at the first 3, all my shots were low, about an 1.5 inches but on target with great groups.

At the 50 yds (to simulate my qual with my M4), they were all right on the paper all within a hand sized group. I only shot 10 rounds of SS198 due to wind picking up.

I think I like any ammo!
