.45 ACP for me and .40 a close second which I prefer using for home defense.

The .45 was the first centerfire pistol that I started to shoot, it was my father's Government Model series 70.

I like the .45 mainly for the shooting range and my HK USP full .40 with tac light is my main gun.

I've shot a 40 cal 1x - never really interested me.

I have all 9mms now, but have had 45s in the past. 9mm and 45 ACP is usually what I have always stuck with.

9mm because the .45 pistols kick too much for my liking. I got to shoot a .45 once and the thing almost flew out of my hand! The fact the ammo is more expensive than 9mm isn't a good thing either.

I have more .40 than the others, so I chose it.

I would have choosen .45 but I only like it in 1911's.

The .40 often allows me to use a 9mm frame, and the choice to swap to 357sig just by replacing barrels in some handguns.
