I did not like the color, it was a green upper an choclate brown lower and the furniture was two shades of tan.It was not like the one shown in the forum header. They have a replacement coming in this week and hopefully it will be acceptable. I'm tired of fondling the picture on my screen saver.
Any one else have this issue?

There is nothing wrong with wanting a firearm that is beautiful to look at and functions better than anything else in the world. (Especially when it is my money). I will worry about getting it dirty when they start coming over the wire. Until then I want it pretty; I did my time in the mud. Simper Fi!!!
Open discussion yes ... is that what the majority of the comments were or was it more like "quit whining and accept what they give you" or "it's a gun, get over it" or "Geesh are you buying a weapon or something to match you favorite sweater and pair of shoes?". The man stated what he expected/wanted of his rifle; why is that an issue?djpaintles said:Gee I thought that when someone starts a thread on a forum like this entitled "FDE Color" they were inviting open discussion about the color of Scar 17's......................DJ

DJ: If color don't matter... you want to trade?
Did you see the photos? It not blothching, it's the distict color green, chocolate and tan. But thanks for the sugestiondjpaintles said:But seriously, if the gun is still at your dealer you might try wiping the upper receiver down with whatever oil you like to use. Sometimes annodizing and other finishes can look pretty funky if they get dry in spots - like the LWRC's I saw did....................................DJ
Go to the welcom forum (Joining from the Couv) the photos came out better theredjpaintles said:I tried to look at the pics but they were postage stamp sized on my screen and I couldn't really tell much.
The color in my pic is a little lighter looking because it's a larger pic and the sun is shining directly on them. With inside light my upper receivers look like they have a bit of a greenish tinge to them.
Oh well, I do really hope that you can find one that you enjoy as much as I have mine...........................................dj

To each his own, as long as he isn't desperaging your color. I personally like the black. I have a rainbow gold, but I am getting a black one on Monday. I swore I would never own a rainbow gold one, but after getting it, I actually like the color, but not as much as black. All my other guns are black so I prefer to have a matching set. Yes they do shoot the same, but at $2k plus I prefer to have what I want. It isn't the old days with Henry Ford.... " you can have any color you want as long as it is black" :-D
I'm interested in what it looks like when you get it back. So what did they say about the color schemes? It's obvious that the cat's out of the bag and that several of the FDEs are a different color. Mine is just about completely chocolate brown. I really like the color so I'll keep it. I'd just like to know what the deal was.ronbo2958 said:UPDATE:
I sent a letter to FNHUS about my disappointment with the color. A couple of days later I got a phone call from the customer service manager and we’ll just say that I will spend the rest of my days telling everyone what a great company FNHUS is. I will send pics when I get it back.
