Hi there folks. I am new to the site. After doing research on several different guns, I decided to make the fnp-9 my first handgun.

Took it to the range today for the first time. I have to say I am impressed. I put 250 rounds through it and I had no problems whatsoever. No FTF's or FTE's... great shooting and good groupings.

The first 25 rounds or so were a bit off, but after that the groups stayed within a four to five inch circle at 10 yards. I say that is not too shabby considering I have not shot a handgun in about 12 years.

I tried a few different brands of ammo. I think the Remington UMC had the best groupings for me. Any opinions on that ammo??

Cleaning was quick and easy. The gun breaks down in just seconds.

Can't wait to get back to the range!!!

Welcome to the club. These are noce pistols I have a HK45 HK45c and a HL USP 45T and this one shoots just as good for almost half the money. You made a good choice and will get years of fun from this nice firearm. The HKs are a little slicker but have lower caps and don't preform any better in any noticable way.

I've ran UMC through my FNP9 as well. Didn't have any problems with it.

But for some reason, I get better groups with Winchester white box. And WWB is even cheaper! Go figure.

I got a mega pack of 250 rounds of UMC at the Bass Pro shop for $53. I figured that was only about $10 per 50 rounds... not too bad. Thanks for the replies!!
