So many classes/schools offering handgun training stipulate a 9mm minimum requirement. Have any of you ever run through a class, even just a CCW range qual like we have in SC, with a Five-seveN? Maybe Costa/Haley type environment also? Seems on paper there would be benefits to shooting a multi day 5-1k rd class with this pistol. Experiences?
I took mine to a two day NRA outside the home pistol training class. It was probably close to 200-225 ish rounds. No where near as demanding as big name classes, but mine never skipped a beat. I think the 9mm stipulation is more geared towards .380 and smaller handguns. 5.7 has good energy numbers close to most 9mm ammo.
Don't expect to flip steel targets on dueling trees and such. At least with factory ammo. I want to try some 50 grain loads that might flip but need to make them first.
