Is it true that when you load and fire the SCAR 16S that the charging handle moves back and forth with every shot. Or does it stay in it's forward position even when shooting. The reason I ask is that if the charging handle did move with every shot would that not bring up reliability issues as it could snag on your cloths or some other object while in motion. :-?

The charging handle moves with every shot. Think AK-47.

If your cloths are in the way of your charging handle while firing... something is going seriously wrong. If it's a matter of it catching against some object while you are shooting (like if you were leaning up against a tree) the ejecting brass would be just as much of a problem as you'd be covering the ejection port anyways. If the AK can have a reciprocating charging handle and be one of the most prolific firearms ever, I think the SCAR will be ok.

The reciprocating charging handle also makes it a little simpler, which means fewer parts to break.

The charging handle can be swapped to whichever side is convenient....correct?

Does the ejection port side swap when you do in fact change the charging handle... or does the spent case still come out of the right side?

The charging handle can be swapped to either side but the ejection port stays on the right side.
