I see posts about 45 holsters but are there any for concealed carry? Sorry for the question but I haven't been able to specifically find one. I appreciate your comments.

funny you should mention Hofner. I actually emailed them the other day. Kind of figured I'd have to stop by and let them fit the gun. Since they are in Houston that wont be too difficult. I presume the X-300 is a light judging from the pic.

Thanks

Hofner reply

in fact here is his reply:

Keith,
The Hybrid holsters are wearable functioning art. They are beautifully
hand made in the studio, dated and signed. In the wake of everything
being made in other countries you can still get quality craftsmenship in
the USA. We have the FNP 40, if the FNP 45 is a bigger frame size we
would need your gun.
TYhanks,
Hoff

You could try crossbreed with something like their supertuck. I know they make them for the 9 and 40 currently, but say they will make them for whatever if they don't already have one for the 45.

On their website, they only have the 9 and 40 listed. It shouldn't be too hard to make one for the 45 though. Basically just make the 9/40 holster a touch bigger.

Strange thing happened today. Just for laughs I put my new FNP-45 in my High Noon Hidden Asset tuckable that I CCW my Steyr M9 in and it almost fit perfectly. :)
It covers all of the trigger, but some of the space behind the trigger is not covered by the holster. Other than that it would have been perfect. I have carried the FNP-45 in the High Noon with the chamber empty for about 4 hours today. It looks like the gun will definitely will be usable IWB for CCW.

So is IWB going to be the only option? Sorry for all the questions. Pretty new at this. I would like to carry the 45 OWB if that were possible. I have only carried a Bersa 380 Thunder owb so far and presume that I would need a larger waist for IWB. Tried the paddle holster in my shooters pack to carry my fnp 9 but that is kind of tuff. Looks like a wardrobe mod is needed.

I just got a Uncle Mike's sidekick vertical shoulder holster in size 15.
It fits the gun and my body great!
I have carried service size autos in the past, in shoulder holsters, riding motorcycles with out being spotted.
In fact once I ran into a bunch of D.E.A. guys on a trip to a bust and surprised them by telling them I could see that they were packed, and so was I!

Why I have gone to IWB exclusively regardless of the gun, is that the prime concern is the muzzle showing below jackets or shirts. And with a good sized gun like the FNP-45, I would always be thinking about it showing. Total peace of mind with the IWB.

Crossbreed SuperTuck IWB for FNP 45

I received my Crossbreed Supertuck for my FNP 45 several weeks ago. It fits perfectly, conceals completely, and is comfortable all day long even during strenuous physical activity.

When I ordered it I did not see it listed on the website. I followed their direction to specify make and model of firearm in the "note" block and there was no problem.

So, they are in production for the FNP 45 and I am very pleased with my Supertuck.

Here is what I ordered. They do not have it listed, but you order one of their other holsters and add the FHP 45 info in the comments. I got the Phantom and i will carry it strongside on a OWB mode, i am too fat for IWB, but this holster can be worn anyway you want.
