I've searched far and wide for the answer to the slide stop discrepancies, but I've come up short every time...

I've handled the FDE model and the stop seemed extremely easy to disengage.
Although, I've had issues disengaging the stop on the black model.

I've noticed that on the black model frames the slide stop has two vertical polymer pieces to either side, whereas the FDE model has a horizontal polymer piece right below the slide stop.
Let's take a look at some pics:

Why are there 2 different models?
Is this how to differentiate the FNP 45 Tactical from the FNX 45 Tactical?
Is it simply New vs Old?
Which version is superior?
Which version has the issues with the trigger pin getting loose?

I ask, because I'm going to pick up a 45 Tac this Friday.

The black one has the same frame as the FNP 45 USG from the looks of it. Not sure why (and never noticed it before). I had a FDE 45 USG that had the two vertical polymer bars.

No one at this point outside of FN knows what style the FNX 45 Tac's will have (I suspect it will probably be that of the FDE Tac, but it's only supposition at this time)

It seems as if the FNX is already out? and it has the vertical polymer bars around the stop.

What is the manufacture date on your Tac?
Did you notice the trigger pin coming loose?

Same pics as of above (I think they reused the FNP-Tac pics). FN said the FNX 45 and tacticals would be out this summer to fall.
