I am reading some talk about the USG, what is the difference? I am new to FN and hope to buy my first (FNP45) next weekend. From what I can see on the FNP website it seems to be the color, is there anything else?

I have the same question and a few more if any might know the answers to.

I've mostly owned wheel guns and have been wanting a .45
All I have tried and seen just have not done it for me.

Then I seen the FNP .45
It was like a white halo of light surrounded it and I swear organs were going off in the background.

So I start researching and came across SOA (single action only)
What is this feature??
I understand DA/SA

Been searching for a bit and am getting nowhere.

I see shloads of the black and black/stainless all over the net but none of the dark earth ones. Are they available yet?

I am definitely buying one. It will make a good companion for this..

SAO - Single Action Only. Means the same as on a revolver, the hammer must be manually cocked before firing. Only difference on an autoloader is that all shots subsequent to the first, the hammer will be cocked by the action of the slide.

If you've ever played with a 1911, that's probably the most famous example of an SAO autoloader.

USG's come with the FDE frame, a manual safety, extra slide serrations, and I THINK a laynard loop.

Pretty sweet, and there is a used one in the WTS forum.
