Here we go. I will let the pics with captions do most of the data and talking.
Shot a total of 350 rounds so far. CAUTION: Do not use reload crap on the FNP45 unless you know for sure it's the good stuff (at least that's my experience with this particular reload, anyway). This particular reload's ejecting case kept getting caught by the returning slide, with the new round getting hung up midway as it enters chamber. However, the factory stuffs all worked without a hitch.
Negative: The slide release is quite small and takes a little bit to get used to.
Positive: Extremely comfortable and controllable to shoot. I even managed to get a few rounds of Corbon 230 gr JHP +P thru it (not shown), no problem. Felt like I was shooting a 9mm.
I have mentioned elsewhere that I really like the FNP45's grip, especially using the flat backstrap. I do not like the G21/21SF or the XD45's grip. You jusr have to try it out for yourself.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the FNP45. 43 rounds of .45 ACP at your immediate disposal, man, what more can you ask for? :shock:

I held both today, they are both big chunky guns, you can't defy physics when dealing with a double stack 45. The G21SF was OK but I did prefer the FNP. I also prefer DA/SA to the Glock "safe" action. The agressive checkering on the FNP should help minimize the gun squirming around, if not grate your skin after a long session - but I like it. Near the top of the grip, the G21SF finger grooves don't line up with my fingers very well, however, the feel is slightly better than the regular G21. I also held the G30SF today, now THAT felt good in my hand - not sure why it felt so much better than the G21SF. I'll likely buy the FNP45 within the next few months...it's worth a shot.

21sf has a slightly bigger grip feel. the fnp-45 was surprisingly comfortable. my hands are not small or big. average ,fat fingers...very good controllable feel on the fn-45. 21sf is a little more to hold on to. but i won't bew getting rid of my 21sf EVER.

Just put 200 round thru my new 45...very smooth cycling and very accurate..after i figured out the sight picture 2 inches at 25 yards off sanbags...reloads...5.8 grains of unique under a 230 grain rainier round nose...no malfuntions at all....once i relaxed it put one round on top of another pretty well..the rear sight is wide and took awhile to settle down...very impressed with it so far

Hi All,

I agree with what 12131 said. Don't use cheap reloads in this gun. I just picked mine up and tried to put a few cheap range reload rounds down range. It kept stove piping round after round. So next I loaded it with 10 rounds of 185gn hp's. It ate them like candy. I am guessing since this is a service pistol the recoil spring is heavier for heavier loads like +p etc. Couple this with the heavy slide it needs a stonger load to cycle correctly. But this is a guess. Sunday i'm going to try some S&B 230gn FMJ. I hope it likes them.

On a side note with the HP's it ran like a swiss watch. The recoil was so light I forgot this is a 45 cal. :lol:

You have to remember, this is built to Mil Spec. So don't feed it underpowered stuff.

i have both the fnp45 and a g21sf. the g21sf is a wonderfull gun that has won me over. it feels comfortable enough to have total control over rapid repeat fire...the fnp45 is more comfortable than the g21sf. nice and grippy. the flat bstrap is for me.
