one local shop wanted $1499...i find it sickening that someone is charging 50%+ more than others...its a free market, true...they wont be selling to anyone who does even 10 seconds of research on pricing....and now ill never even bother calling that gun shop again....

$1199 seems to be the norm price around here for a gun shop...and none had it in stock or even access to one quickly

nice thing about buying on line is the sales tax savings...it more than offsets the shipping costs

My FDE Tactical was about $950 out the door from a LEO/Mil distributor. So anything in that range to maybe $1100 is reasonable in my book. Any more than that, and I go looking elsewhere and never visit the gun shop again. Of course, they un-invite me after I have words with them about price gouging.

I do not buy from local gun shops anymore because they are trying to gouge me. Even the gun shop that I use for my transfers charges more than what I feel is reasonable but I still use them for transfers because they give them to me for $25 for normal stuff with a second or third on the same day for $10 more, and $50 for Class III NFA item transfers. If I find something that I want like the A5M XP, I will look locally but when they want to charge me $500 more for what I can get it for from one of our forum vendors, the gun shop can KMA. I always support the forum vendors first even if I have to spend a little more money because I can count on the forum vendors to honor their sales and correct any problems with no issues.

Over the years, I have probably used more than 50% of the forum vendors for items that I have purchased. We support them, and they support us so it works for both of us and there is no BS to deal with. With that, I once again want to thank our forum vendors for the services that they provide to us.

Reminds me too much of nicotine-stained beige computers from the early 90's... I just can't get over that image... :)

Keep an eye out on their Gunbroker listings. I thought I missed the "sale" they had which according to their web site expired. Then they posted another, which I purchased <2 hrs after it was posted.

Seems to be some healthy demand for this weapon.

It's really tough for Kalifornians as many FFLs won't touch the threaded barrel. Then you will need a non threaded barrel to pass the HST. As my SSE slots were filled this year with other purchases, on a whim I checked online, found a fairly local seller with a black tactical (yuk!) but I bought it. Put the non threaded from my FDE non TAC in to pass HST. But now I have another boring black pistol..... Price was $1k , great pistol though. Anyone want to trade your perfect FDE for a perfect black?
