You would first need to find out if it is a legal round to use in the state you intend to hunt, in the state I reside it is not. I don't think it is a suitable round for deer, not saying you could not kill a deer with one but I think there would be a lot of wounded animals running around to die much later. And I would hate to lose this guy.
