So I went to the gunshow here recently and picked up several different kinds of personal protection cartridges, I wanted to see what would and wouldn't work in my FNP-9. Since I spent the time/money to do this for myself, I thought I'd share the results as well. I shot 5 rounds of each of the cartridges pictured below from 7 yards aiming for center bullseye. I am not a experienced shooter at all, in fact I just started out a few months back so take my data with a grain of salt, caveat emptor, etc. I did come away with 2 cartridges I plan on using in my FNP-9, and at least 1 in my AR-15 9mm only.
I really liked the Hornady TAP and the COR BON but seemed to shoot low with the Hornady XTP and all over the place with the Winchester Ranger SXT +P+ (this is the cartridge I'd likely use in my AR-15 9mm).
