I have been playing around with the 300 BLK cartridge in the AR platform and am becoming quite the fan. This thread got me thinking about having a spare upper in that caliber.
Does anyone happen to know of a smith out there that is mounting .30 cal barrels to FS2000 uppers? I would love to have a 300 BLK to run suppressed or for CQB but not sure I want to tackle the build myself. While I have not spent a lot of time looking over schematics of the FS2000 or even done a complete strip down of it yet, I expect there will be some machining and maybe welding I am not set up for...
I would love for FN to just make a conversion kit, but I understand that the 300 BLK is basically a US only cartridge at the moment. But if there happen to be any FN USA folks browsing the forums, something to think about. Or maybe one in .9mm... :wink:
