I went head an put together a bench rest hammer pack for the FS2000. I bought a gen 2 pack and had K&M springs installed, added a Nue-trigger, and lastly replaced the hammer with a ManKave short pull aluminum one. Do to the reduced spring weight, the hammer will fall if the rifle is dropped. The trigger now breaks at 3.5# with a noticeably shorter length of pull. The ease and speed at which hammer packs may be swapped is definitely a virtue, allowing me to switch for different applications.

OEM Pack: 8.5#
w/ Nue-trigger: 7.5#
w/ K&M springs: 5#
w/ K&M springs & ManKave hammer: 4.5#
w/ K&M springs & Nue-trigger & ManKave hammer: 3.5#

I only had time to fire a few magazines (120 rounds) before the range closed.

Thank you. :?

Could you post some photo's of just the hammer??? Looking for some close up's, where it hits the firing pin, and bolt carrier.

Could you post some pictures, like the OP did???

Thanks.

The wear on the hammer face is where it strikes the firing pin, and the rub mark at the top of the hammer is from the bolt carrier group reset.
