just bought one and it has what looks like a mold mark on the rubber around the front and rear end of the scope.

basically it is a 5mm or so round defect which is a different colour than the rest of the rubber. It is on the rubber to the right of the front sight facing the shooter and on the right side on the rear on the rubber which faces away from the shooter.


basically is it normal, i.e. does yours have it?

Mine has them.
I had never noticed the rear one before but I never really paid much attention to it.

What you might want to check for is the alignment of the front and rear emergency sights. The front blade on mine is off to the left and not centered.
It is noticeable on mine.

So far I don't see it as being a real issue but I will eventually replace it when parts become available.

I'm not holding my breath on that one though.
