I got a call today my gemtech 5.7 supressor was released ... I was excited to say the least. Got home and let the five seven out for a fitting!!! No problem-- 1x10m left hand twist looks great, thinking I cannot wait to get to range--I then pull out the ps90 Sbr -- only to realize- I purchased the adapter for 1/2x28 rh. I forgot i did this-- way back when I bought the parts (over a year before I filed form 1)--- Gun Firearm Trigger Air gun Gun accessory
So that I could put a 9mm or 22lr can or anything else standard. So now here I am wanting to put my gemtech can on my ps90--- is there an adapter to convert 1/2x28 to 1/10m??? And if there is-- can someone do me the favor of posting a link--- I cannot believe I made this mistake, and I wish I would have picked up the 5.7 can with the 1/2x28 threading -- but then I would have this problem going to the five seven. The one thing I do not want to do is pick up another end muzzle device and have to take barrel apart. Most of my cans are set up for standard 1/2x28--- I just want flexibility of using the gemtech can when ever I want to.

Not sure how that thing screws over a stock sbr. I would assume the silencer at that point would be what keeps that barrel in place. I would be weary of using an adapter on top of about adapter. I know you can get made the adapter you speak of, custom made. Maybe just use 9mm can on ps90 and gemtech on pistol???

As far as I know gemtech designed the 57 can to only work on the pistol hence why the threads are 10x1. They suggested to me that the G5 with the ps90 trilug or a 1/2x28 sar57 was the way to suppress. They only place I know that would make a 1/2x28->10x1 would be tros it would probably have to be custom made.

The he adapter I have is a p90 version, it locks on to barrel just a the video describes. However the adapter is threaded 1/2x28, which I understand now why it is lime that-- thanks again for the video. I bought the griffin evo revolution 9 can, specifically for my ps90, soon to have mpx, and in the near future scorpion. I guess I was hoping to be able to reverse the adapter to fit the gemtech onto the ps90, however I think I will avoid that now (knowing fn never intended that use). I have used the aac Tirant 9 with my five seven, and it worked very well. In my humble opinion- I think the 9mm can works well with the 5.7x28. I also have an aac m4-2000, in which I will buy a direct thread adapter to try it on the ps90 for curiosity. With the current thread pattern on the ps90, I have fitted a sparrow, an octane 45 (multi use/caliber) can.

The db meter on your phone is pretty much worthless, for this, as are other db meters that don't have microphones specifically designed for this application. The proper microphone alone runs around $1000.00. M12x1LH to M10x1 PS90 SBR adapters exist. As has been mentioned above most people, including me, would recommend that you not use an adapter on another adapter, unless you were going up in caliber on a can. In other words an adapter on an adapter on a 5.56 rifle to use a 7.62 can should be no problem.
