A few years back I got a FN 5.7 USG. Loved that gun but ended up trading/selling it off I think to get something else. That was gun I regretted getting rid of. So been wanting another but its been impossible to find one at any of my local shops. I figured it would come down to an online buy or finding one on the secondary market but all the used ones I found for sale locally are going for more than a new one would run. Like one guy was selling a used MK2 for $1500. No thanks.

Long story short I had thinned out my collection so had some funds set back for a Five-seveN if I found one. Well I did find a store that had a couple new in box MK2's. I did zero research so when I got it I realized it once I got home it was a MKII and discovered the differences which glad I did because I have some holsters (Garrett Industries & Zorn Wraith) on the way so had to make sure the size was correct. I decided to pick up a second one the day after. I know probably a little overboard.

Got 3 extra mags so now I have 9 total between the two guns and ordered a Inforce APL which the Wraith holster I order will be fit for. And 900 rounds of SS197. The fist time I saw the 5.7 pistol (USG) was at a gun show which I was at to actually buy one. The dealer showed me his personal gun. He took it apart for me. Said he had a bunch of round through it and never cleaned it as he said he was seeing how many rounds he could get through it before it jammed. Anyway whatever but his gun was filthy and filled with lint.

I LOVE this gun. I have traded and sold a lot of guns and very few guns did I really regret getting rid of but my 5.7 was one. I dont listen to the critics (who dont own or have shot one) who bash the gun and caliber. Yeah sure its definitely the gun and ammo are not cheap but I think its worth it.

Thanks to the info contained in this forum I was able to find answers to questions that came up (like ammo, holsters, model differences etc) so thanks to you folks for that. However thanks to you all I decided I needed a second Five-seveN :)

It took me a month to get my 2nd. I originally wanted a FDE MKII but could only find a black one. A few weeks later I found a good deal on a FDE MKII and grabbed it. My black one is back at FN, to zero it I had to crank the windage all the way over to the right. My FDE is dead on with the rear sight centered.
